If you watched The Ohio State Buckeyes take on The Cincinnati Bearcats this past Saturday, then you probably recall a kid running onto the field and consequently being body-slammed by former Buckeye linebacker Anthony Schlegel.

That kid is 21 year-old engineering major Anthony Wunder and his antics will cost him his scholarship, due to the pending criminal trespassing charge being brought against him.

I don’t know, man. I love Ohio State with all my heart and I bleed Scarlet and Gray, but this might be a reach on OSU’s behalf, as well as the Franklin County Municipal Court.

People run onto the field during games all the time. At the most, they should just be escorted out of the event. Criminal trespassing, though? The loss of a scholarship that covered tuition and housing? Seems a bit extreme. I could see if he stormed on the field with the intent to harm someone, but I’m 99% sure that wasn’t the case here. He’s just some dumb kid who couldn’t stay in his seat. Probably got dared or something. Who knows?

At the end of the day, just stay in your seats, I guess.
