This is probably the worst sports story ever, man.
For those who may be unaware, this past weekend in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose suffered yet another knee injury and just like with the first one, it will cause him to miss the entire season.
This sucks.
Everybody knows the Cleveland Cavs are my team, but the Bulls have always been a close second. Just like other Bulls fans I sat all last season anticipating this season and Rose’s return. When he’s healthy, he’s without a doubt the best point guard in the league and I was looking forward to not only seeing him back on the floor, but also seeing him lead his team and possibly be a threat to the Miami Heat.
Once again, that won’t happen.
I feel for Bulls fans, but most importantly I feel for Derrick Rose. After all the work he put in to get healthy, I can only imagine the mental pain he’s going through right now having to watch from the sidelines for two seasons in a row.
Not only do I wish Derrick Rose a speedy recovery, but I also hope that someday he’s back to being the dominant player that once won the NBA’s MVP award; and he will. He’s only 25.
